Wash with soap & warm water prior to use, or autoclave jewelry.
To insert the jewelry fold/squish it in half, and then in half
again, slip into piercing and let go. It will resume it's shape (and
will try to do so while you're trying to fold it, so the first few times
may take a couple minutes) and look totally sweet.
DO NOT chemiclave, soak in madacide or expose silicone to any
other toxic chemical. The silicone may retain minute amounts of the
toxin(s), which should be avoided.
Initial irritation may develop from repeated squishing by all your
friends. Even those who should know better (ie: piercers and shop kids)
will squish your jewelry all day if you let them

Cinco De Mayo
May 5th (Cinco De Mayo) is coming, which means a National Holiday for
any Latinos in the United States, and outside, which is a celebration of
Mexican heritage and pride. It happened when the French army was trying
to invade Puebla, and the date is observed to commemorate the Mexican
army's unlikely victory over French forces. Contray to widespread
popular belief, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexicos Independence Day, the most
important national partriotic holiday in Mexico, which is actually
celebrated on September 16.

The Battle of Puebla was important for at least two reasons. First,
although considerably outnumbered, the Mexicans defeated a much
better-equipped French army. "This battle was significant in that the
4,000 Mexican soldiers were greatly outnumbered by the well-equipped
French army of 8,000 that had not been defeated for almost 50 years."
Second, it was significant because since the Battle of Puebla, no
country in the Americas has been invaded by any other European military force.

How to Measure Body Jewelry
Body piercing jewelry is measured in two ways: the diameter or length
and the gauge. Captive bead rings and circular barbells are measured by
diameter from the inside of the ring. Barbells are measured by length of
the shaft, which is the wearable area. When talking about the jewelry
gauge, the smaller the numbers, the thicker the jewelry. After 000
gauge, the thickness of body jewelry is generally stated in fractions of
inches or in millimeters.
It is very important to buy the right size bod jewelry because, for health reasons, body jewelry is generally not returnable. If you don't know what gauge you were pierced with, ask your piercer.

Dermal Piercings
Dermal Piercing, also known as Micro dermal Piercing, is a kind of body
piercing. It is a permanent method that involves making a perforation in
the sub-dermal skin layer of the body. Such perforations can be made on
almost all surfaces of the skin and can be removed only with the aid of
a medical professional. This is why this is considered to be a
permanent method.

Dermal Piercing is a simple process which needs a lot of care and
precision. The method starts with cleaning the part of the skin where
you want to make a piercing. An alcohol based cleansing agent is used to
free the region from impurities.
If needed, the area to be perforated is shaved to make it free from hair. This is true in case of areas like chest and wrist.
The region to be perforated is marked with a surgical pen. Two spots
are marked to indicate the points of entry and exit of the needle.
The fourth step involves ‘boring’ or making a hole on the skin
surface. A surgical needle is sterilized, usually with 70% alcohol. It
is inserted through one of the markings and taken out of the other. The
hole is made into the skin layer which reaches down to the muscle layer.
The foot of the jewellery or ‘dermal anchor’ is inserted into
this perforation. When the tissue heals, the foot of the Dermal Piercing
anchor is firmly held in place. After Dermal Piercing removal of
jewelry is not possible unless surgical means are adopted.

Tungsten Jewelry VS Titanium Jewelry
If you decide to go with tungsten rings, you won’t have to worry about

iced out gear. Many people have seen their shiny tungsten rings last for
years on end. When buying tungsten rings, make sure that it contains
carbide, this is what makes it scratch proof. Do be aware of the
tungsten rings that contain cobalt, some have witnessed allergic
reactions to the substance, which causes their finger to turn green
where contact was made with the ring.
Titanium rings on the other hand, are known for their strength – even car
manufacturers have used it for their engines (as well as tungsten). Out
of all the metals, including tungsten rings, titanium has the highest
ratio between density and strength. It too is stronger than steel, but
is much lighter. Titanium rings have corrosion resistance against
oxygen, so it lasts long. It isn’t that resistant to scratches and
scuffs, so that’s definitely something to keep in mind while shopping
for your men’s jewelry.
