Piercing Guide #3 - Piercedfish

Spiral twister rings is a type of body jewelry that loops around the piercing. The unique shape of the spiral twister ring somewhat resembles a spring which allows the jewelry to loop around the piercing. The spiral twister rings are worn similarly to any circular barbells in which the bead is fastened into the thread at the end of the barbell. The spiral twister rings can be equipped through a lip piercing, or any ear piercings. The fastened piece can be of any decorative material, ranging from balls, to beads, to spikes.

Retainers are preferred over standard body jewelries to keep the piercing profile low. Certain events may require the consumer to conceal their piercings, however, simply removing a piercing may not always be recommended as it may result in the piercing closing and healing over. The purpose of the retainer is the keep the piercing profiles low while retaining the piercing from closing. Retainers are commonly manufactured with a clear acrylic material and are usually, but not always, flexible.
